Enjoy a fun session learning to throw pots on the wheel. A wheel throwing taster session gives you the chance to try your hand at throwing on the potter’s wheel. You will be guided through the process of throwing a pot. You will learn to centre the clay and create your own unique hand-thrown pots.

After the session, your pot will be glazed and fired, ready to collect 4 weeks later. This session is for adults only.

FAQs

Can I take my pottery home with me?

Yes, but not yet. You can choose one pot to be glazed and fired in our electric kilns. The pots are fired for over 48 hours per firing, so firing and glazing can take up to 4 weeks. We will contact you via email when your pieces are ready to collect.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Let us know as soon as you can, if you want to cancel your booking. If you let us know more than 14 days ahead of the course start date, you will receive a full refund, minus a 10% admin fee. Within 14 days of the course starting, you will not be able to receive a refund, unless your place on the course is filled by someone else. If your place is filled by someone else, you will be offered another date for the workshop, or credit to use against another course.
